Flavor of the Day

I worked today and realized I haven't worn these boots in almost a year! They're amazing...70s vintage with an inlayed feather thunderbird!

Between taking my dog to the dog park and having a delicious Belgien white brew at an outdoor bar, the dress came off, jean shorts showed up and my boots were switched out for my trusty Minnetonkas!

Dress ("tunic" wtf)- Forever 21
Slip- Thrifted
Boots- Ebay
Beaded Necklace- DIY
Lion Claw Necklace- A gift from my husband's Dad from Africa that I stole from the bathroom this morning.
Jean Shorts- Abercrombie
Moccasins- Minnetonka

I went to Goodwill today! I haven't been thrifting in a couple of weeks, so I was pretty stoked!

Ok, I've got to get rid of the sequins...

But check out the cut!

WTF vintage leopard hostess dress by Vanity Fair!! Wow! I'm excited all over again just posting it! It's really overwhelming at maxi length, so I hate to cut it, but it'd be so much more wearable short.

I think this probably was a 3rd piece to a bathing suit set. I will still rock this shit out with some jean shorts and I'm going to be on the look out for a bikini in a color to match it!

A little black slip dress with cutout battenburg leaves!

The ones on the back look almost like wings!

A total hippie dippie maxi skirt...

I love the lace on the bottom...

Pretty purple scarf!

70's scarf...

A vintage Nassau, Bahamas souvenier scarf

This dress is amazing! It's really flattering on too...I really dislike the term "goddess", but

It came with a little jacket! I'm always amazed when pieces stay together for all those years!

I love this Banana Republic linen dress...the print is kinda safari...

And I love the way it ties in the back!

Old lace skirt...I'm not sure if it once had a lining or not.

Favorite find of the day! A wood grain circle skirt!!

Cherokee Bat

Then the door of the shed opened, and Cherokee came in, brushing cobwebs out of her way. She was wearing her suede fringed minidress and her moccasins, and she had feathers and turquoise beads in her long pale hair. Standing in the dim shed, Cherokee glowed.

Lux Lounging

I love the idea of lounging in luxurious, airy fabrics in comfortable designs. So much better than an old t-shirt and flannel pj bottoms, don't you think?

Little satin tap shorts, rompers and slips in light cottons and silks, cashmere leggings and oversized cardigans to keep it cozy...ahhh.

I know I talk about shoes a lot. Where else am I to ramble on about my infatuations?

That Special Feeling

You know the one...

When you find a pair of shoes that are so perfect you want to sleep in them.

I recieved these in the mail today and not only do I feel like I'm walking on clouds made of suede, but they are ruthlessly hot on. Casual as they may be, they make my legs look 9 miles long!

I'm seriously contemplating buying another pair for back up when they stop carrying these. I've only seen them at Zappos. The Steve Madden site doesn't stock them, so I'm thinking they're an older style.

P.S. If you find you love them too and want to give them a go, FYI I had to order a half size-full size up. Steve Maddens usually seem to run a little small though.

Summer Ideas

Yes, the heart sunglasses look out of place.

A word on feathered accessories: Most feathers used in mainstream accessories are from birds that were treated horribly, much like conventional factory farming. Please be sure your feathers come from a cruelty-free source! I have found loads of safe feathers on ebay for crafts including the most gorgeous, softest peacock feathers ever!

I braved the mall today. Rhianna was there the other day, so I figured it would be OK.

Checkin' off that Summer list faster than you can say "swimmin' hole"...?

Motorcycle Windshield Bag

You could totally use a motorcyle windshield bag as a clutch! Don't laugh...I love this idea!

I still just can't decide! I'm leaning towards the last pair, but I'm afraid their height will make my legs look stumpy. Hmmm...What do you think?
