Hello Again!

I haven't posted in over a year! So much has happened! I do think I'm going to start posting again, although I don't have a computer at home right now, so it won't be every day.

Birthday Dress

My birthday is October 15th and I'm going to be 27!

My friend and I are planning to have a big bash, which is something I've somehow never done!

I've been browsing very pink and very festive Betsey Johnson dresses on ebay and think I've found a winner!

Project: American Apparel Fringe Dress

Future project:

A very over-sized black tee shirt, a pair of scissors, and a length of fringe will recreate this dress. I just can't do $50 for that...No way, no how.

You guys know I love Betsey Johnson's designs. It turns out her home decorating style is just as fantastic and inspirational as her clothing!

Here are images I've collected of her personal homes, as well as her beach house, which is available to rent!

I don't know what she's waiting on, I wish she'd just go ahead and adopt me.

Treasure Hunting

I went treasure hunting today, which I haven't done in a while. I found some great stuff, here are a few of my favorites:

Vintage painted tin trays. They have little stands on the bottoms! There were two!




A new state plate! I didn't know Arkansas is "The Wonder State"!


A deer to join my collection of largish white animal figurines! I have a snail and a fawn as well.


This is a Christmas gift for my friend who also appreciates old things. It's a vintage mirrored compact. I also have a small collection of these, but this floral one isn't so much my style, but happens to be hers!






A fruit bag! It's design is made of tiny plastic beads which seem to be glued on. Actually as I was typing this, my friend who I bought it for as a Christmas gift came over, so I gave it to her early! :)

Taste of Music: Docs Who Rock Event

This is what I wore to the Taste of Music: Docs Who Rock Event I did a very silly commercial for. It was great fun! I always lean to the ridiculous side, especially when dressing for events and this time was no different!
